Mongui Ojong Eyumeneh was born in BueaCameroona bilingual country ( English andFrench speaking) with a dual education system.She studied law for her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Buea in Cameroon an Anglo-Saxon educational system andInternational Law for her Masters1 at the University of Yaounde II Soa in Cameroona French educational system. She has worked for the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) Yaounde Cameroon’s protection unit. She holds a Master’s degree in Human Rights from the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nurnberg.Mongui Ojong is a doctoral candidate under the supervision of Prof. Dr Jan-Reinard Sieckmann to specialise on migrant protection. She is researching on the  intersectional protection of migrant women and girls in detention, doing a comparative study of the African and the Inter-American Human Rights System.
